Wahana COFFEE estate was established in 2006 and covers an area of 480 hectares. It is located in Desa Lae Mungkur, Kel. Sidiangkat, Kab. Dairi, North Sumatra, which is one of the best regions for coffee plantation in Indonesia. The altitude of Wahana estate is 1200-1320m above sea level and with annual rainfall of 1,450 mm/year. The area is particularly suitable for the growth of coffee trees.

Wahana has planted coffee varieties, such as, Rasuna, Long Berry, Toraja, Andong Sari (Java), S795 (Java), Villa Sachi, Tipica, among others, but focuses on two varieties; Rasuna and Long Berry. Until now, the area which has been planted is about 250 Ha. The coffee season in Sumatra is normally  Oct – June.

Wahana has also implemented good practice in coffee growing, applying organic fertilizers (manure and composted skin pulped cherries) on the farm and have planting shade canopy trees throughout as well as making conservation areas for native trees.

Wahana also practices corporate social responsibility, giving attention to workers’ conditions and housing. Wahana has also established a clinic to serve all the workers.

Wahana COFFEE estate has also installed a complete wet mill process and produces excellent, consistent coffee with complete traceability.
